When choosing a city for your international internship, it can be a difficult choice as there are so many exciting cultures to choose from. Whether you love the hustle and bustle of London, the gripping history of Madrid, or the exotic nature of Medellin, Colombia, every city has something for you.

London – The mix of history and modern culture will astound you. London gives you a never-ending list of things to do. For attractions that you just won’t be able to see anywhere else, take a weekend and explore the original and best Madame Tussauds, some of the world’s most precious treasures at the British History Museum, or come face-to-face with dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum. Of course, there’s the picture-perfect London Eye, where you can see London like you never have before. If museums are not what you’re looking for, you can’t say no to the West End Theatre! London has, by far, the best theatre scene in the world, giving you the chance to see the classic, long running plays as well as brand new debuts, all with some of the most talented actors in the world. Unlike many cities, London even offers large green spaces to relax in and enjoy the sunshine. Take a picnic to any of the Royal Parks, or explore the exotic Kew Gardens.

Madrid – The gorgeous architecture characterizing this city will make you never want to leave! Discover El Palacio Real – the largest royal palace in western Europe, La Plaza Mayor – a stunning square located in the historical centre of the city, and La Puerta del Sol – the symbolic centre of Madrid. Aside from the beautiful buildings, Madrid is famous for much more. Take a walk in Retiro Park and rent a little rowing boat, a perfect sunny afternoon! Not to mention the numerous tapas bars you just have to try. Madrid is famous for its unique flavors, from chorizo to calamari; a trip to Madrid wouldn’t be complete without tasting its famous dishes at the San Miguel market.

Asia’s global city has so much to offer, from the classic tourist attractions to those off the beaten path, here’s the top 3 things you have to try. As the hub of Australia’s sport, style, and culture, you can take a break from the regular tourist attractions and discover the city through its hidden alleyways. Bursting with small cafes, little boutiques, famed restaurants, and stylish bars, you can see Melbourne through a whole new set of eyes. Meyers Place, Hardware Lane, Degraves Street, and Centre Place are all places you should be sure to visit. Its vibrant music scene will introduce you to some of the most important up-and-coming acts. From concerts to small performances in cafes and bars – you won’t be disappointed.

Medellin – Colombia is one of the world’s most beautiful and diverse countries. Snow-capped volcanoes, rocky deserts, endless plains, lush valleys, coffee plantations, alpine lakes, and gorgeous, tropical beaches all characterize the endless culture of Colombia.
