Whether it’s going to see the crown jewels at the Tower of London or checking out one of the 80 million items at the Natural History Museum there is no way you’ll be bored in London. From historical architecture to some of the world’s best restaurants and bars here are a few things you can’t miss!
Don’t forget that the London program includes multiple activities such as:
– Afternoon tea at an exclusive venue in London- a perfect way to spend the afternoon in a quintessentially British manner!
– London eye and river cruise– Look over the London skyline from the newly rebranded Coca-cola London Eye and then see the main sights from the water.
– West End Show such as Chicago or Phantom of the Opera- London’s west end is world famous and it’s included in the program!
Must Do’s:
Houses of parliament and Big Ben – I’m sure you’ve seen hundreds of photos of the Houses of Parliament lit up by the River Thames but you must go and see them for yourself.
Covent Garden– the first planned square in London is a great place to go for a drink or light snack if the weather is nice. It is also surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. A definite place to visit in the summer!
Camden Market– The Camden Markets consist of multiple adjoining large markets that sell everything from vintage clothing to cheap bits and bobs and there are also lots of takeaway food stalls with all sorts of cuisine.
Borough Market – one of London’s oldest food markets, selling everything from fresh fruit to truffles and charcuterie, while very busy at peak times this is a great place to grab a quick lunch or just browse the wide variety of stalls. For general public visits are Wednesday- Saturday.
Changing of the Guard– watch this impressive ceremony outside Buckingham Palace on a daily basis as sentries are relieved by the next batch of sentries. This usually takes place daily at 11:30 from April until the end of July and on alternate days for the rest of the year, weather permitting.
Art Galleries– The Tate Modern and National Gallery are just a couple of London’s many art galleries and are a great way to see world famous pieces with free access at many of them.
