Responsibilities
Transcribing articles, case studies, blogs, and other text
As a foreign language and translation intern, you could be responsible for transcribing various types of content, including articles, case studies, blogs, and other written materials in the source language. This task involves listening to or reading the original content and converting it into written text, which will serve as the foundation for translation and localization.
Attending events and translating in real-time
In your role, you may have the opportunity to attend live events, conferences, or meetings, where you'll provide real-time interpretation and translation services. This may involve interpreting spoken language, facilitating communication between participants who speak different languages, and ensuring that the message is accurately conveyed in the target language.
Editing materials translated by computers to check for accuracy
You may find yourself reviewing and refining translations generated by machine translation software or computer-assisted translation tools. Your task is to edit these materials to ensure they are accurate, culturally appropriate, and effectively convey the original message in the target language. This critical step in the translation process helps maintain high-quality language output.

I had a really good experience with my internship and I was lucky enough to turn it into a full time role quite quickly. Straight away they got me to write stories, go to events, and get stuck in from day one which I was quite surprised and really stoked about.
