Understanding Your Concerns
At The Intern Group, we believe in the power of empathy and understanding. We recognize that affordability is a significant factor for many applicants. Let's explore your concerns together:
-
What specific aspects of the program do you find financially challenging?
-
How do you feel about the value of an international experience versus the cost?
-
Have you considered alternative funding sources or financial aid options?
Payment schedule
- Your initial deposit of £800 for an in-person program, or £600 for a remote program, will confirm your enrollment and guarantee you an internship in your preferred career fields.
- 50% of your remaining program fee will then be due within 30 days.
- Payment of the remaining 50% of your program fee will be due within 21 days of being successfully placed in a role with your host organization, or within 5 days if you are enrolled on our remote internship program.

The Intern Group Scholarships
We provide internal scholarships and grants to help outstanding candidates realize their potential every year. Learn more about our scholarships and how to apply.
Other resources
In addition to applying for these discounts, there are lots of ways to fund your program. Many of our participants have found it useful to create a crowdfunding page on GoFundMe, for instance. Others have also saved money by subletting their apartment on Airbnb while they did the program. If you have any additional questions about how you might be able to fund your program, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Admissions team in your interview process, as they will be able to guide you in the direction of applying for resources that may apply to you.
Cost of living
Our international programs are more than just internships - they are comprehensive programs focused on professional development and cultural immersion. The program fees incorporate the cost of the program, professional services, operational costs, and technology. If you are completing an in-person internship, you will also need to budget for food, drink and extracurricular activities in your chosen destination. Learn more about what the program fees go towards, and our advice for in-country spending budgets, on our cost of living page.
