SRHE Presentation
In February 2026, The Intern Group presented original research at the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) annual conference - one of the leading forums for academic research in higher education.
Vincent, our Chief Product and Strategy Officer, discussed graduate employability, exploring why universities struggle to produce work-ready graduates, what the evidence says about the role of structured work experience in closing that gap, and sharing primary research around best practice approaches for structuring work experience programs.
Building on this, David Lloyd, our CEO, discussed the commercial reality of scaling these solutions and what it takes to make them accessible to every student. He made the argument that work experience integrated into the degree (work integrated learning, or WIL) and funded by universities, is the only viable path to bridging employability and accessibility.
