• Environmental Policy

  The environment is a huge priority for all of the world’s respective governments. Depending on the placement, interns will gain familiarity with current policies while educating and advising the general public on environmental matters. They may also be responsible for enforcing environmental laws alongside senior members of the department.

• Press

  If you have a passion for the written word and want to make a difference, you may want to consider applying for a political press internship. In addition to attending briefings, writing memos, and drafting correspondence, you may also be asked to do independent research, prepare press clippings, and draft press materials for the office you’re working in.

• Public Health

  Just like the political world itself, the field of public health is incredibly broad. Some interns might focus on communications, ensuring the general public is advised on policies clearly and consistently. Others might gain experience in policy-making itself, researching political and environmental trends and reporting on their findings.
