We know that your decision to invest in joining our program is an important one, so we want to be transparent about how we use your program fee to enhance your experience from start to finish.

Your program fee is used to invest in program costs, professional services, operational costs, and technology. The exact percentages per destination will vary depending on the context of that destination, but we always ensure we are making the best use of the program fee to create a high-quality experience wherever you choose to do your internship, whether it’s remotely or in-person.

What does the Global Internship Program fee go towards?

Program costs

Our international programs are more than just internships. We provide a comprehensive program focusing on professional development and cultural immersion. Each destination has a unique offering but, wherever you choose, you will benefit from cultural events, including dinners, tours, and other immersive activities with your peers. The programs also include airport pickup, accommodation, and access to a range of services, including Talkspace, a DISC workplace assessment, CV development tool, Keynote speaker series, Career Advancement Training, and a one-on-one career coaching session after your internship.

Professional services

By joining our program, our global and in-country teams support you over several months throughout your experience, from your admissions process, placement process, visa assistance, pre-arrival support, 24/7 emergency support, as well as access to our ongoing alumni network. We invest in our team and their ongoing professional development to ensure you are supported by experts in their field and destination.

Operational costs

We allocate a proportion towards our organization and infrastructure and this investment helps ensure we offer the best quality service to you. This includes management, global partnerships, legal and professional services, insurance, travel, office rent, program evaluation and development, amongst other costs.

We invest in the latest technology in order to communicate with our multinational offices and to create a smooth interview and onboarding process for all of our applicants from around the globe. We also invest in our marketing department so that we can reach more people around the world and inform them about our services.

The Intern Group’s virtual programs are more than just internships. We provide a comprehensive program to accelerate your professional development made up of 3 key elements. You will make your resume shine with a leading virtual internship in your career field, build the skills to thrive with our best-in-class career advancement training and learn from the best with access to our Keynote Speaker Series. Alongside these inclusions, you will also receive access to a range of services, including access to a licensed therapist (Talkspace), a DISC workplace assessment and a one-on-one career coaching session after your internship ends.

On top of your virtual internship placement, each Digital Nomad destination has a unique offering, but wherever you choose you will benefit from both online and on-the-ground cultural events, CV improvement tool, accommodation, airport pick up, and access to a range of services, including Talkspace, a DISC workplace assessment and a one-on-one career coaching session after your internship.

In-country spending per week

The program fee includes your accommodation, airport pick up, cultural events, professional development tools, career coaching, 24/7 support and more. Outside of this, you will need to budget for food, drink and extracurricular activities, such as travel. Depending on the program, the cost of living differs.
