Accommodation
Private Bedroom in a Shared Student Accommodation
As an intern in London, you will have your own private ensuite bedroom in student residence style accommodation, giving you a personal and familiar place to return to at the end of the day. You will be sharing your living spaces with other interns and international students, making for excellent opportunities to network and make friends! You will have access to WIFI & utilities, bed linens, laundry facilities, & a fully equipped kitchen. The housing also has 24/7 front desk security for your peace of mind.
All of our accommodations are excellently located in Zones 1-3. All of the residences are located near one another and served with many transport links to Central London, making them the ideal base for exploring London during your stay! All of our accommodations are a just a short stop away from some of London's top attractions, green spaces and biggest hotspots.
Summer Halls of Residence
Looking for a summer internship in London? Our Summer Program starting Mid-June to Mid-July offers an immersive experience in a University Hall of Residence. Every summer intern has their own private bedroom, sharing the living spaces with other interns and international students, making excellent opportunities to network and make friends!
Located in the heart of London surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Central London, your summer internship accommodation features 24/7 security for your peace of mind and is locally served with all the amenities you need to adjust to a new city!
Accommodation Upgrades
Have a different living experience in mind? We aim to accommodate every intern experience, and accommodation upgrades are available upon request at an additional cost. If you wish to stay in one of our accommodation upgrades please let us know and we will provide you with further details.
Visa Information
General Eligibility
- At least 18 years old.
- Passport with at least 6 months validity.
- Not eligible for British citizenship.
- A currently enrolled (not gap year) full-time, in-person university degree student (community college included); or a recent graduate (within 24 months when the internship starts).
- Demonstrate sufficient personal financial standing (GBP 1270+, or equivalent) for at least 28 days consecutively at the time of visa application.
- Demonstrate sufficient English proficiency (IELTS: 6.0 or up; iTEP: B2 or up).
- Not been approved for the same visa more than twice or more than 12 months stay combined.
- Irish nationals, and UK residents with EUSS/Student/Graduate Routes are exempted from a visa.
Visa Rules
- Visa cost (including government fees and other institutions’ fees) is estimated at GBP 1047. The Intern Group’s program fee does not cover the visa cost and other associated expenses (e.g. translation, courier, transport, expedition etc) in the process.
- Application time: About 6-8 weeks upon submission of a visa sponsorship application. Application submission is dependent on a confirmed internship offer.
- Applicants must apply for visa sponsorship with an authorized UK visa sponsor (assigned by the program), before applying for a visa at UK Visa & Immigration (UKVI).
- Application mode: It must take place in the country of citizenship/residency. Traveling abroad within 30 days before the internship is not advised.
- (for EU nationals) Online application;
- (for others) In-person application at a UKVI centre with a physical passport.
- Paid internship: ✅ Possible.
- Other jobs while interning: ❌ Not allowed.
- Visa validity: Enter UK no more than 14 days before the internship start date.
- Visa duration: Stay in UK for up to 14 days after the internship end date.
- Visa entry: Multiple.
- Early arrival before program starts: Possible ✅ if it does not exceed 14 days before the internship start date. Travel to UK before visa approval is not advised.
- Late departure after program ends: Possible ✅ if it does not exceed 14 days after the internship end date.
- Visa extension: ❌ Not allowed.

Career Advancement Training
Interns benefit from career advancement tools before, during, and following their London internship program. These tools enable you to successfully prepare for your internship before you start, make the most of your experience while you’re interning in the UK, and successfully sell your experience in interviews to future employers.
During your internship, training is delivered through a combination of videos, podcasts, articles, quizzes, and projects and you will receive a certificate upon completion. Subjects include critical thinking, oral/written communication, teamwork, digital technology, leadership, professionalism, career management, and global/intellectual fluency.
You will also be granted access to our CV improvement tool and will be invited to attend exclusive tailor-made workshops including interview practice sessions with worldwide peers, CV review workshops, Linkedin workshops, and more!

24/7 Support
Our full-time London team offers 24/7 support with local expertise, from start to finish. They are incredibly proud of the city’s life & culture and they want to show you why! They will organize your airport pick-up when you arrive in London. The team will also provide a thorough welcome orientation to help you settle into the city and feel at ease. Our London team is available throughout your internship program should you have any questions or queries.
We also partner with Talkspace to provide all our participants with fully anonymous access to a licensed online therapist for up to 3 months. This ensures you’ll always have someone to talk to when adjusting to life in your new city.
Fees & Start Dates
The cost of the program is fixed in Great British Pounds (GBP).
