In this interview, we talk to one of our partner companies, Kim'C Market, to learn more about their thoughts on our service and how our interns have supported their organization.
What made you start working with TIG?
TIG makes it easy for us to bring on quality talent from all over the world. They handle the documentation processes and logistics to host the interns in New York City, allowing us to best prepare to welcome the intern and set them up properly with our team.
What do you appreciate most about our service?
Hands on support and quick responses from the rep, regular check-ins to the company and interns for a safe, quality experience during their internship. We also appreciate the navigation process where the interns are carefully selected before sending them to us for review.
What are your key future goals & plans and how can TIG & interns help you achieve them?
Kim'C Market is known as a purveyor for fine foods from Korea. We want to continue to expand our product offering to other known quality items throughout Asia, eventually globalizing the access to not only premium products but full on experiences. Working with TIG will allow us to access students from other countries, which will allow us to work with varying cultures and perspectives, benefiting our forecasting to improve the customer experience.
Why is it important to help support and provide opportunities to the next generation of employees and how can internships help shape this?
We have a duty to guide the next generation by providing them access to how businesses are run. This allows for both the company and intern for critical thinking and best practices of what to do, or even what not to do, when working towards a goal.
